Simulation of Temperature Field in Sliding Electrical Contact Zone of Pantograph Catenary System
The high temperature in sliding contact zone of a pantograph catenary system will cause wear of the friction pair
decrease the current-accepting quality of the system
or even induce break accident of the contact line. In this paper
the temperature field of the pantograph catenary system’s sliding contact area is analyzed
and the factors influencing the temperature field are investigated. The simulation software COMSOL is adopted to simulate the pantograph catenary system
a three-dimensional finite element model is established
and the experimentally measured data are used to verify the accuracy of the proposed simulation model. Subsequently
the effects of current
pressure
speed
and slide plate material on the temperature of the contact zone are obtained. The temperature in the contact zone increases with the increase in current and speed
and the temperature presents a U-shape change with the increase in pressure.
