Simulation of Space Charge Characteristics of Epoxy Resin at Different Temperatures
The study of space charge transport characteristics of epoxy resin under DC voltage is significant to thedevelopment of gas insulated transmission line(GIL). In this paper
bipolar carrier transport model was establishedto numerical calculus the space charge distribution in epoxy resin at 0
30
60
105 ℃. The influence of temperatureon the internal space charge transport characteristics of epoxy resin
as well as the distribution of electric fieldstrength
was obtained. Results show that the electron charge is dominant in the epoxy resin material
and theelectric field near the anode is increased by the migration at the temperature of 0 ℃ and 30 ℃. With the increase ofthe temperature
the time for charge distribution to reach a new steady-state decreases. However
the chargedistribution of epoxy resin at 60 ℃ and 105 ℃ shows a completely different trend. The enhancement of chargemigration and trap’s capture makes the charge accumulate near the electrode much more easier
which reduces theelectric field strength at material interface near anode and cathode. The results can provide theoretical basis for thematerial modification of insulators in GIL and precision regulation of space charge characteristics.
