Vibration Simulation of GIS Horizontal Bus Shell Based on FEM
Abnormal mechanical vibration of gas-insulated metal-enclosure switchgear(GIS)is caused occasionally by electromagnetic force. In this study
a finite element method(FEM)software was used to investigate the electromagnetic force and vibration characteristics of the three-phase-enclosed horizontal GIS bus shell. Firstly
a horizontal GIS bus model under three-phase power-frequency current excitation was established
steady electromagnetic analysis was conducted
and the electromagnetic force the shell suffered was obtained. Secondly
a structural dynamic model of the metal shell was also established to obtain the shell’s vibration acceleration response under the electromagnetic force. Results show that the shell suffers periodical electromagnetic force with the frequency twice of the excitation frequency. Under the electromagnetic force
mechanical vibration of the shell starts
and the vibration acceleration of the nodes on the mid-line of both sides of the shell is more remarkable compared with that at other locations. The vibration acceleration’s frequency is the same with that of the electromagnetic force. Experiment was conducted on a three-phase enclosed GIS platform to detect the metal shell’s vibration acceleration signal under power frequency current excitation. Analyses on the signals intensity at different locations and the vibration acceleration frequency verified the accuracy of the structural dynamic model.
