Study on the Influence of Acids on the Moisture Content Measurement
In order to measure the moisture content of oil-paper insulation more accurate
and explore the influence of acid on moisture content measurement
thus providing reliable guidance for insulation condition assessment of transformer
in this paper
we made two groups of oil-paper insulation samples with different moisture content and acid value under laboratory conditions and studied the influence of organic acids on moisture by using polarization/depolarization current. The results show that moisture content will have effect on the distribution of acetic acid between oil and paper
but no effect on stearate; acetic acid and stearate have different influences on depolarization current curves
acetic acid has effect on the tail of depolarization current curves
while stearate mainly impact the first stage of depolarization current curves; acetic acid and stearate affect moisture content of oil and insulating-paper respectively
and there is a certain proportional relationship
so we can consider some compensation method to obtain the accurately moisture content of different parts of oil-paper insulation in practice.
