Equivalent Model of Wind Farm Considering the Rotor Speed After Grid Fault
To study the dynamic characteristics of large wind power plants and to model the wind farm rapidly and accurately
it is suggested that the rotor speed of wind power generator be taken as the parameter for clustering the wind turbine unit when it is incorporated into the power grid. A fast clustering algorithm
named K-means clustering algorithm
is employed for clustering via the software SPSS. An equivalent model of multiple generators in DFIG-type wind farm is established by the software MATLAB/Simulink considering the impact of grid failure on transient characteristics of system. The simulation time is reduced greatly on the premise of ensuring the accuracy of the simulation
and the simulation result is more close to the actual operating condition of wind farm. The superiority of the proposed method is verified by comparative analysis of simulation results.
