The application of fiber-optical temperature measurement to the switchgear is introduced

and the shortcomings of the existing optical fiber are analyzed. Hence

the design of an optical fiber integrated insulating bushing is discussed in terms of the processing

the assembly

and the layout of the optical fibers. Verification test indicates that the designed optical fiber integrated insulating bushing and its optical fibers layout are neat in appearance with shorter fibers

thus the problems of untidy status and insufficient insulation due to the exposed fibers are effectively solved

the reliability is improved

the overall cost is reduced

and the requirements of online temperature monitoring are met.
