Design and Optimization of D-dot E-field Sensor for Electromagnetic Pulse Detection
The transient electric field measurement is of great significance for the research of intelligent electrical ap-paratus reliability under high electromagnetic pulse environment. Based on the D-dot principle
the basic parametersof the electromagnetic pulse electric field probe are determined by the equivalent potential method
through structur-al optimization
4 kinds of electric field probes with different structures are designed. The characteristics of E-fielddistribution are analyzed and shield for leads is also designed. The frequency domain characteristic is simulated anddiscussed. GTEM cell and RS105 test system are utilized to test the E-field sensors infrequency domain and time do-main respectively. Experimental results show that these optimized probes can meet the measurement requirementsfor pulsed electric field with nanosecond rise time
at the same time
it is beneficial to the fabrication and installa-tion of the antenna
