Study on Influencing Factors of Inner Sensors for GIS Partial Discharge Detection
it is a common method to measure the partial discharge using the ultra high frequency(UHF)signal generated by partial discharge. The UHF sensor in GIS has high detection sensitivityand is capable of online monitoring. In this paper
the factors influencing the disc-shaped inner UHF sensor are stud-ied. The influences of the factors
such as the distance from feeding point to disc center
the multi-point feedingmode
the dielectric constant of filling medium
the distance between disc electrode and metal base plate
the diame-ter of disc electrode
the thickness of feed lead
and the length of lead wire
on the sensor’s voltage standing wave ra-tio(VSWR)are analyzed. The optimized structure of the disc-shaped sensor is proposed based on simulation. Simu-lation results show that the optimized sensor has the features of low VSWR and wide band
so it is more suitable for GIS partial discharge detection as the inner UHF sensor.
