Simulation and Analysis on Induction Voltage of Metal Sheath for High Voltage Cable of EMU Roof
The single-ended connection between high voltage cable metal sheath and roof of carriage plays an important role of surge overvoltage that created on carriage when a train raises its pantograph.Taking the CRH2 EMU as an example
an equivalent model including external power source
the high voltage cable
carriages and grounding system is established based on PSCAD/EMTDC software
to analyze the characteristics of induction voltage in the ungrounded terminal of high voltage cable with the existing connection mode. The propagation of induced voltage in high voltage cable is simulated. The influence of the cable length
the parameters of the power source and its phase on the induction voltage is analyzed. The results shows that the transient voltage is 60~70 k V
the transient duration is about 0.2 ms
the oscillation frequency is 60~80 kHz.The voltage amplitude decreases gradually along its direction of propagation. The voltage between the cable sheath and roof of carriage is mainly affected by the length of cables
the equivalent parameters of power source
and closing angles of voltage at pantograph lifting moment. The research findings obtained in this paper provide reference for the sheath connection form of high voltage cable.
