Technical Method of Simulated Lightning Stroke Test for Curtain Wall of High-rise Building
High-rise building is easy to form electric field distortion during the process of downward-leader development and connection
and hence to attract lightning. The powerful lightning current hitting the building’s glass curtain wall may cause frame deformation or broken glass dropping due to shock stress and thermal effect. This research conducted simulated lightning stroke test and actual detection to obtain the relationship between lightning current amplitude and strike distance. By simulating the downward-leader discharge lightning stroke location selection test
the border tolerance to lightning stroke test and the glass surface flashover test
a reasonable test method for evaluating safety performance of curtain wall glass under lightning stroke condition was proposed to reduce lightning risk of glass curtain wall.
