Niose Reduction Method with Acoustic Metamaterials Based on Noise Characteristics of Power Transformer
Transformer noise control has become a hot topic in various fields as a difficult problem to be solved in HVDC power transmission projects. This paper analyzes the noise of UHV transformers to design a sound barrier with ventilation
small occupied area
non-conductive non-magnetic permeability.For the goal
an acoustic metamaterial unit cell suitable for transformer noise reduction is proposed. The design of the acoustic metamaterial unit cell is inspired by the application of the Hilbert curve in the RF antenna. The Hilbert curve is used as the propagation path of the acoustic wave. And design the resonant frequency point to avoid the main frequency point of the transformer noise
so as to obtain higher transmission loss. The acoustic properties of the acoustical metamaterial unit cell are calculated by finite element simulation and the transmission loss at the main frequencies of the transformer noise is measured using an impedance tube.It is found that the acoustic metamaterial can have excellent sound insulation performance under the premise of meeting the design goal. The transmission loss can reach about 20 dB
and the experimental and simulation results are in good agreement within the allowable error range.
