Characteristics of Bubble Formation in Oil-paper Insulation and Its Influence on the Breakdown
The presence of bubbles will reduce the electric strength of the transformer insulation
and even lead to insulation breakdown. In this paper
through the preparation of insulating pressboard with different moisture content
the phenomenon of bubbles is observed in the experiment of rapid heating. The test results show that the higher the moisture content of the insulating pressboard
the lower the initial temperature of the bubble formation. Three water content are 2%
4% and 6% of cardboard bubbles generation initial temperature 142 ℃
120 ℃ and 94 ℃ respectively. The influence of bubble on oil-paper insulation is verified through ac breakdown test. With the bubble appearance
the breakdown voltage of the oil-paper insulation is decreased. The insulation failure of the oil-paper insulation of bubble is the surface flashover
the oil-impregnated board with a thickness of 1 mm
the flashover distance is about47 mm
and the breakdown voltage of the bubble is reduced by 28.60%.
