Transformer Winding Deformation Detection and Fault Location Based on the Distributed Optical Fiber Sensing
Winding deformation is one of the common faults inside the transformer
a serious threat to the safe operation of power systems. The current winding deformation detection are off-line detection
can not accurately locate the deformation fault; live detection due to the interference of the scene of complex electromagnetic environment
and can not be fault deformation positioning. In order to improve the accuracy of on-line detection of winding deformation effectively
this paper presents a fault location method for transformer winding deformation based on distributed optical fiber sensing. The built-in distributed fiber continuous winding model is used to simulate the winding deformation. When the winding is locally deformed
the fiber strain is measured by Brillouin optical time domain reflectometer(BOTDR). The experimental results show that the distributed optical fiber sensing technology can accurately realize the fault location of winding deformation
and have a good application prospect in the monitoring of transformer windingdeformation.
