Kinetic Mechanism of H2/O2 Mixture Plasma Discharge
In order to solve the ignition difficulty problems of green nontoxic propellant spacecraft rocket engines under the condition of vacuum low temperature
it is proposed that generating non-equilibrium plasma by discharge and taking advantage of its activation effect to improve the ignition characteristics of spacecraft rocket engines in deep space. In order to study the discharge characteristics of hydrogen and oxygen mixed gas
Bolsig + solver was used to calculate the energy loss fraction of different electron collisions with the reduced field strength. ZDplaskin package was used to simulate the hydrogen and oxygen mixed gas discharge process. Variation of active particles concentration with time under different discharge conditions was obtained. The results show that the proportion of the energy consumed in the collisions of different types of electrons in the hydrogen-oxygen mixed gas is different. When the reduced field is low
most of the electron energy is consumed by the collision and motivation of molecules
and when the reduced field strength is high
the electron energy is mainly used for the dissociation and ionization of molecules. When the reduced field strength is more than 100 Td
the electron concentration in the discharge process rapidlyincreases
which is more conducive to the generation and accumulation of active particles.
