Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Method for Analyzing Aging Status of Composite Insulators
we designed a low-field nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)sensor with universal clamp according to the structure of the composite insulator. The insulators with different service years were measured
and the Carr-Purcell-Meiboom-Gill(CPMG) pulse sequence was employed for excitation. The CPMG echo attenuation data of different samples were recorded. These CPMG data were analyzed by inverse Laplace transformation
and the transverse relaxation time was selected as the characteristic parameter of aging degree of composite insulator. The result of the NMR method is compared with that of infrared spectroscopy. It is shown that NMR result is c
onsistent with the absorption peak of the infrared spectrum
and both results can reflect the aging degree of the composite insulator to a certain extent. With development of the composite insulator aging
both the T

value of NMR and the absorption value of the infrared spectrum become smaller.
