Development of Thermoplastic Insulated Bushing Based on Finite Element Analysis
insulated bushing acts as the connector of electric power transmission and distribution
it brings current in or out of metal shell of GIS
which also functions as current carrier
keeps insulation and support from high voltage to earth. At present
most of insulated bushings are made of epoxy resin via APG process. This process is characterized by heavy weight
low production efficiency
high energy consumption
unrecyclable and nondegrad able material. It has a potential risk to human being and environment.By adopting thermoplastic material
according to design criteria and molding requirement of thermoplastic material
3D model based on a common GIS bushing is rebuilt
mechanical strength and electrical strength are simulated by SolidWorks and Maxwell so as to meet related standards and achieve the target of light weight
high efficiency
energy saving and environmental protection. This study may provide a reference for rational design of thermoplastic insulator.
