Multi-physics-based Detection Method of Grounding Body Corrosion State
The grounding body is an integral part of the grounding grid.It is one of the early work in the grounding grid corrosion detection to achieve accurate positioning and quantitative evaluation of corrosion.Aiming at the difficulty in diagnosing early corrosion of grounding body
this paper proposes a multi-physics-based method for the detection of corrosion state of grounding body using acoustic waves. The difference between the characteristics of the acoustic signals excited by the corroded area and the uncorroded area of the grounding body is made use of to detect the corrosion degree of the grounding body. The mathematical physics model is established
the solution domain and boundary condition are given
and the sound wave propagation characteristics of the grounding body in a fluid medium under electro-acoustic coupling are explored.Finite element simulation is performed to analyze the sound pressure characteristics of different grounding areas of the grounding grid
and the reason why the difference in sound pressure of different areas exists is analyzed. In addition
a preliminary experiment is conducted using the developed experimental system. Results indicate that the characteristics of sound pressure amplitudes from both experiment and simulation are consistent
verifying the feasibility of applying this corrosion detection method to grounding bodies.
