Dynamic Stability Check and Simulation Analysis of a Circuit Breaker Layout Scheme for Generator Protection
the short circuit breaking current of the generator circuit breaker in the domestic high power test station is relatively low. The National Institute of Electricity and Technology has developed a vacuum circuit breaker for generator outlet protection based on tightly coupled split-reactor. It can turn off the short circuit and large current of 160 kA. However
too large a short circuit current can produce too much electric power on the whole device. If the layout scheme is not properly designed
the whole device will be unable to withstand the electrical power generated by the short circuit current
resulting in damage to the device. Therefore
this paper puts forward a complete set of layout scheme for this set of devices. This scheme connects reactor with circuit breaker by copper bar. Finally
it is necessary to check the dynamic stability of the layout. In this paper
the short-circuit dynamic stability check and insulator dynamic stability check are carried out by using circuit analysis and mathematical calculation. And Ansoft simulation software is used to simulate the copper bar of the reactor outlet. The mechanical simulation analysis of the connection support is carried out by using Solidwork Simulation software. Finally
the type test is carried out to prove the safety and reliability of the arrangement.
