CT site calibration has become an urgent problem which prevents it further applying. However
there almost no scientific research institution and scholars carry out research on this new problem. To solve this problem
a self-calibration method is proposed for site calibration. Focusing on the most important problem of CT calibration
the calibration error is studied. According to the CT error definition and the structural features of self-calibration CT
the error characteristics and the influencing factors of the self-calibration CT are analyzed
and the transient field-circuit coupled method is proposed to calculate the error. Based on the finite element transient field circuit coupling principle
the field-circuit coupled model is established. Then the errors of two methods are calculated and analyzed. The results show that: the simulation errors and actual measurement errors of CT with two different situations are less than 0.1%. It is up to the accuracy class and it satisfies the UHV CT calibration requirements.
