Effect of DC Bias on the On-board Potential Transformer of CRH and Improvement Measures
The on-board potential transformer of CRH is used to measure and transmit the voltage and frequency of CRH
so as to ensure that it can accurately control the traction motor of CRH in operation. The DC component in the excitation current of transformer caused by geomagnetic storm
unipolar operation of HVDC transmission and high altitude nuclear electromagnetic pulse leads to DC bias of transformer. This phenomenon will cause the increase of harmonic component and reactive power loss. This phenomenon will lead to the increase of harmonic component
reactive power loss
eddy current loss and copper loss of core laminates
aggravation of hysteresis and expansion effect of core
and aggravation of vibration and noise. Current measures to suppress DC bias in voltage transformers mainly include injection reverse current method
neutral point series capacitance method
neutral point series resistance method
neutral point series resistance and capacitance method
