Study on the DC Magnetic Bias of the ±1100 kV Changji Converter Station and the ±800 kV Tianshan Converter Station
In view of the transformer DC bias risk in the power plants and stations in Xinjiang Power Grid when the ±800 kV Tianshan-Zhongzhou UHVDC transmission project and the ±1 100 kV Changji-Guquan UHVDC transmission project operate simultaneously in monopolar ground-return mode
the soil around the two grounding poles is measured by electromagnetic sounding device in winter and summer
and on the basis of the measured resistivity data
a DC current distribution model of power grid under simultaneous action of two grounding poles is constructed. Then
the DC magnetic bias risk of Xinjiang Power Grid is simulated and analyzed
and the results show that the soil resistivity is different in different seasons
and the DC magnetic bias risk is higher in winter. When two grounding poles are injected with DC at the same time
the plants and stations without DC magnetic bias risk will have the risk. In addition
some countermeasures to the DC magnetic bias are offered.
