Analysis of Temperature Rise and Magnetic Field Characteristics for 1200 kV SF6 Insulation Testing Reactors
The magnetic field and temperature rise analyses are bases for developing the high-voltage testing reactor. This paper builds the 3-D full scale model for the 1 200 k V testing reactor. The magnet field and temperature risedistribution are calculated by the multiple electric-magnet-thermal coupling simulation software Infolytica. The tem-perature rise characteristics of the reactor windings are discussed. Results show that
the maximum magnet field is1 T inside of the reactor. The temperature rise will reach the maximum after working 30 min. The temperature rise forthe insulation on side is highest to 78 ℃
then the intermediate layer windings
windings in the out layer
and epoxyshielding. The temperature rise for the first layer is 65.6 ℃
and then increases with rate 2.2 ℃ per layer averagely. The peak temperature rise is 77 ℃ and appears in the 7 th layer. The temperature rise concentrates and decreasesslightly during the 7~21 st layer
then in the 22~26 th layer goes down with average rate 2.1 ℃ per layer to 63 ℃. In-stalling the air gap at the 7 th winding layer can improve the heat dissipation of the windings.
