Analysis of Typical Fault Caused by Insulation Breakdown of 500 kV GIS Disconnector
GIS equipment has been applied in the ultra-high voltage grid widely
its reliability directly affect safe and stable operation for large power grid. In this paper
a case of insulation breakdown fault of 500 kV GIS disconnector was analyzed deeply. Firstly
the insulation breakdown of the fault gas chamber is analyzed comprehensively by fault characteristics
theoretical simulation calculation and back to factory disassembly inspection. Secondly
the analysis method of combining theory with practice
in plant traceability and test verification is adopted to confirm that the fault is caused by the fiber layer on the insulation rod surface of the disconnector
which causes the electric field distortion caused by foreign matters
