Power Cable Partial Discharge Monitoring and Pattern Recognition for High-speed Railway
the fault rate of power cables on high-speed railways has been increasing continuously
which seriously affects the reliable power supply and operation safety of high-speed railways.Among them
partial discharge caused by insulation deterioration
construction defects and external force damage is one of the main causes of the faults.Based on the analysis of the causes of various typical faults
six typical defects that may occur in the operation of cables are simulated and tested in laboratory. The results show that the wide-band impulse current method can effectively detect the partial discharge signals caused by various defects
and the discharge characteristics of different defects have significantly differences.Based on this
a comprehensive status monitoring system for high-speed railway cables is designed
which takes the wide-band impulse current method as the core to monitor partial discharge. It can provide reference for real-time status information acquisition of cables and their accessories
carry out status evaluation and timely failure warning.
