Study on the Influence of Tidal Geoelectrical Field on GIC Calculation of Power Grid
The huge error between the calculated and actually measured value of geomagnetically induced current(GIC)is existed in the present power grid
which affects the implementation of GIC protection under geomagnetic storms. For obtaining the source of the error
it is proposed with combination the formation mechanism of GIC and induced geoelectrical field that Tidal Geoelectrical Field(TGF)is an important factor that causes GIC calculation errors. The feasible solution method of TGF acting on the power grid is given and the mathematical expression of GIC in the calculation of the geocentric coordinate system is deduced. Finally
the Lanzhou area of Gansu province is taken as the study object
the CIC level of power grid due to TGF is calculated by way of DC equivalent model of setting up local power grid and by the use of numerical simulation method. Compared with the calculation results of other reference in the same area
the maximum ratio of GIC generated under action of TGF itself accounts for 18.8% of the calculation value of GIC during the geomagnetic storm. Therefore
in case of the subsequent GIC solution and analysis of GIC
