Online Detection and Disassembly Analysis on Floating Discharge Defect in GIS Disconnector
GIS is the important equipment which is responsible for power distribution and fault cleaning. For obtaining the inner state variables of GIS equipment at on line condition
discovering and alerting the equipment defect as well as avoiding equipment failure and grid accident
the GIS is subject to on line detection by the ultrasonic
ultrahigh frequency
vibration measurement and gas decomposition product. The test signal is analyzed with combination of electromagnetic field theory. The reason of discharge and its development process is explained by capacitive division principle and chemical reaction equation. It is found by the on line detection that inner vibration and discharge phenomenon exist in the PT disconnector of 110 kV GIS.It is also found after the power off and disassembly that the ablation trace was found on the fork
tongue spring and drive pin in the moving contact of the disconnector and
at the same time
a large number of metal sulfide power is found near the discharge point. The reason of the discharge by analysis is the floating discharge is due to weak contact of the fork
tongue spring and the drive pin by insufficient pressing force of the tongue spring force. The effectiveness of the on line detection measures is verified by the off line detection result and
at the same time
the severe accident of unplanned outage of busbar caused by the discharge is avoided
