Analysis and Simulation Research on Current Carrying Capacity Bottleneck of Typical AC High-voltage Submarine Cable Project
The load capacity of the submarine cable line is determined by its bottleneck segment. It is generally believed that the landing section is the current carrying capacity bottleneck of the whole line. However
there are obvious differences in laying conditions in different areas of the cable landing section
so further identification of current carrying capacity bottleneck of the cable line is required. For many areas of the landing area exposed to sunlight
a finite-effect model of the consideration of solar radiation is established. In order to verify the correctness and consistency of the model
the load cycle test data of the direct sunlight zone of the 500 kV AC submarine cable in pre-identification test circuit are compared. A systematic and reasonable method for evaluating current carrying capacity bottleneck segment is proposed
take Zhoushan typical 220 kV submarine cable project as an example
and the finite element analysis software Comsol is used to simulate and compare potential bottleneck segment current carrying capacity
the real bottleneck segment current carrying capacity and short-term overload time of the cable line are determined. It is of guiding significance to the safe operation of sea cable.
