Effects of Conductor Pre-tension on Seismic Performance of Converter Transformer Bushing
UHV converter transformer is the key equipment of converter substation
and bushing is an important component that affects performance of it. In order to evaluate the seismic performance of the bushing
the refined finite element modeling and seismic dynamic analysis were carried out on the ±800 kV converter transformer bushing system
and the influence of the pre-tension of the conductor on the dynamic performance and seismic response of bushing was studied. The results show that when the pre-tension of the conductor is relatively small
the basic mode of vibration is the vibration of the conductor. Increasing pre-tension can effectively increase the natural vibration frequency. Appropriately increasing the pre-tension of the conductor can significantly reduce the relative displacement response between the conductor and the inner wall of the bushing under the action of earthquake
which is conducive to ensuring the insulation requirements inside the bushing and has no significant impact on the stress response of the bushing. The seismic displacement response at the end of the valve side bushing is large
which should be paid attention to in the engineering design to prevent the problems of traction damage or other problems affecting electrical functions.
