Comparative Analysis of Short Circuit Mechanical Characteristics of Transformer Winding Under Different Models
The short circuit resistance capability of power transformer is directly related to its safe and stable operation
so it is necessary to accurately calculate the mechanical characteristics and short circuit resistance capability of power transformer winding. Different modeling methods have great influence on the accuracy and amount of calculation of mechanical properties due to large size and complicated structure of transformer winding. In this paper
a set of 110 kV transformer is taken as an example
the distribution law of short circuit leakage magnetic field
electromagnetic force and mechanical stress of transformer winding under different models is compared and analyzed by way of setting up two-dimensional axis symmetric and three-dimensional model of transformer and by way of using magnetic-solid coupling analysis method. The results show that the distribution law and feature of calculation result of the two kinds of models are similar
but the numerical value has certain difference with the stress at the end of winding in particular. Therefore
in order to reflect the actual structure characteristics of transformer winding and ensure the accuracy of short-circuit check and calculation
it is necessary to set up a three-dimensional model of transformer winding to analyze its mechanical characteristics. The modeling method and analysis conclusion can provide reference for the evaluation of the short-circuit resistance capability of transformer.
