Vibration Sound Power Measurement Method of UHV Transformer Based on Location of Main Vibration Point
compared with the sound pressure method and the sound intensity method
has the advantage of extracting the sound source characteristics from the comprehensive noise of the transformer proper and the fan. The distribution mode of the vibration measurement points has a great influence on the results of sound power measurement. At present
there is no unified standard for the distribution of vibration measurement points. Approximately uniform distribution method is often applied
but the sound power measurement result is often lower. In this paper
the non-uniform distribution method based on locating the position of the main vibration points on the surface of the transformer is proposed. The radiated sound power of the 1 000 kV ultrahigh voltage (UHV) transformer in Shanxi province is measured and studied. Under the test condition
the sound power obtained by the new method is higher than that of the uniform distribution method
and the total sound power resulting from both the transformer proper and the fan is more consistent with the results from the sound pressure method. This method can improve the accuracy of the sound power measurement of UHV transformer and provide a new choice for assessing the sound source characteristics in substation.
