Study on Efficiency Optimization of Engineering Electromagnetic Repulsion Mechanism
With diverse applications of the fast switch technology in AC/DC power grid
electromagnetic repulsion mechanism
as its core component
has also been widely studied by major scientific research institutions in recent years. Under the goal of ‘carbon peaking and carbon neutrality’
the transmission level fast switch poses a greater challenge to the electromagnetic repulsion mechanism applied in engineering. This paper first introduces the basic principle of the electromagnetic repulsion mechanism
and then combines theoretical analysis and model simulation to identify the key factors affecting output efficiency and motion speed. After that
the optimal design scheme of the opening and closing coil disc is proposed in which the conventional silicon steel sheet materials is applied to design the coil disc. Subsequently
the detailed size parameters of the opening and closing coil discs are determined through finite element simulation. At last
the output characteristics of electromagnetic repulsion mechanism under different coil disc schemes are measured and compared on a set of 10 kV fast switch prototype
the accuracy of the simulation model is verified
and the optimal scheme for engineering application is determined. The test results show that the coil disc made of non-oriented silicon steel sheet has the highest output efficiency
