Research on Influence of Crack Depth and Position on Vibration Detection of 220 kV Porcelain Post Insulators
For solving the on line detection of the faulty 220 kV porcelain support insulator of substation based on the vibration characteritic
the 220 kV series-connected porcelain support insulators of model B03.8-1 is taken as the research object
the influence of crack depth and positionof the porcelain support insulator on the vibration detection sensitivity is deeply studied. Firstly
SolidWorks software is used for modelling
the models of different crack depths and positions are set and imported into Ansys software. The pulse signal is used to simulate hammering for transient analysis
and the acceleration signal at the pickup point is extracted for power spectrum analysis. Then
an experimental platform is set up for test analysis. The simulation and experimental results show that the sensitivity of vibration detection increases with the increase of crack depth of the porcelian support insulator. The relative position of the crack and the lower flange affects the sensitivity of vibration detection
in which in case the crack is located between the first shed and the second shed or is too close to the bottom surface of the lower flange
the vibration detection sensitivity is lower. However
the distance between the crack and the central axis of the insulator dose not affect the sensitivity of the vibration detection.
